For those that don't know, Bikram Yoga is a style practiced in a room heated to 105 degrees with 50% humidity. 90 minutes long. I currently take Propranolol 120mg (a beta blocker) for heart palpitations. I am also Hypokalemic (Potassium defficient). I am aware of how to keep my Potassium levels safe with supplements, but even with this heat it worries me. You sweat more during this class than you typically would in your entire life. With the heat and excersize your heart rate obviously raises, and I don't really know how the Propranolol would effect this.. I don't know if it is keeping it safely low during class, or dangerously low. During class I need to rest alot, and fight to just stay in the room. I am 23, Six Feet tall, 155lbs. Pretty healthy....
