Doctor Oz was asked by a woman why she always gets migraines during her menstrual period that lasts a few days, and what can she do about her migraines?
Dr Oz said that when the blood vessels that go to our brain opens and closes, you can get migraines, and hormones (especially estrogen) causes these blood vessels to open and close. Therefore, sudden surges of estrogen during your period can cause massive headaches and migraine headaches.
Dr Oz’s Advice for Migraines During Your Period
Take either prescription migraine medication or Over The Counter Migraine Medication about 48 hours before you get your period. Migraines can be prevented or at least can be minimized dramatically by catching them early and by knowing what triggers your migraine.
