Doctor Oz was asked by a woman what causes Tonsil Stones or Tonsilloliths, and what can be done about Tonsil Stones? Tonsil Stones or Tonsilloliths

Dr Oz said that you can use a waterpik to wash away the tonsil stones.  Tonsil stones are usually a white colored, irregularly shaped, and bad smelling glob that is a combination of mucus and bacteria.  Tonsil stones get caught in the back of the throat, and like gall stones, they need to just pass out of your body.  Tonsil stones can smell bad and cause bad breath or halitosis.

Some people unfortunately suffer from chronic or persistent Bad Breath or Halitosis this is a very serious affliction as if you leave it unchecked it can all but ruin your life. The big problem with chronic bad breath is you can’t smell it yourself and it’s a taboo that people only talk about behind your back. It will ruin your job, your social life, your home life and sadly your own life. Don’t let it get that far check for signs of bad breath often. As you get older your saliva decreases and as bad breath bacteria like a dry mouth you need to pay special attention to it. One test dentist use that you can do at home is to take a cotton swab and rub it on the back of your tongue then wait 2 minutes and smell it if it smells bad you know you have take action.
