Dr Oz: 3 Step Do-It-Yourself Facelift
We all want to look younger, right? But sometimes, expensive surgery is not an option. That’s okay. On today’s show, Doctor Oz was joined by Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Shirley Madhere, to show you ways to instantly look younger without going under the knife with things like the Pomega5 Grenade Anti Rides Nourishing Cream, the DermaWand, a Plumping Moisturizer Facial Mask Recipe, a Tightening Toner Recipe and a Smoothing Exfoliator Recipe! And if you love making your own spa days at home, checkout this massive collection of DIY Face Masks.
Dr. Shirley Madhere says that surgery isn’t for everyone. There is an increase in trend of women who are in search of at-home remedies to look younger.
As we age, the skin on our face begins to sag. When this happens you get jowls. Plastic surgeons cut the non-critical muscle behind the sagging skin and remove it. Then the doctor will pull and tighten the skin into the hairline so you don’t see a scar.
Christine, an audience member, said her problem areas included no elasticity in her skin. Her skin drooped, which caused her to look older than she actually was. For those looking to avoid the knife, Dr. Madhere revealed her at-home facelift, which included 3 steps:
Dr Oz: Smoothing Exfoliator Recipe
Dr Oz’s 1st step in the DIY Facelift is a Smoothing Exfoliator Recipe.
2 Tbsp Brown sugar
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Mix together to create a paste. Rub onto skin and leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off.
Dr Oz: Tightening Toner Recipe
The second step in Dr Oz’s DIY Facelift is a Tightening Toner Recipe.
1 C rose water
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp witch hazel
5 drops almond oil
Combine and mix well. Apply to the face with a cotton ball and let dry.
Dr Oz: Plumping Moisturizer Facial Mask Recipe
Step 3 in Dr Oz’s Do-It-Yourself Facelift is to make a Plumping Moisturizer Facial Mask Recipe.
2 Tbsp any moisturizer
1 egg white
2 pinches turmeric
½ tsp Manuka honey
Combine to make a paste. Apply to face and leave on for 20 minutes. Then rinse.
Dr Oz: DermaWand for Laugh Lines
Isn’t it ironic how laugh lines aren’t so funny? To help stimulate the skin to improve elasticity, Dr Oz suggest the DermaWand, which you can buy here. To use, simply plug in and turn on. Apply it to the laugh line, using upward strokes.
Dr Oz: Pomega5 Grenade Anti Rides Nourishing Cream
Use Pomega5 Grenade Anti Rides Nourishing Cream for overall smoothing, which you can buyhere. To use, simply rub the nourishing cream onto your face in an upward motion.
