Dr. Marmur revealed the 4 important rules to avoid a sunburn. Dr. Marmur said that there are so many products out there making false claims. The FDA is currently implementing new rules for sunscreens to make it easier for the consumer to protect their skin.
Dr Oz: Nia 24 Sun Damage Prevention Mineral Sunscreen Review
Dr. Marmur says the 1st rule is to look for a broad spectrum protection: We’ve improved our sunscreens for both UVA and UVB. Nia 24 sun Damage Prevention 100% Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30, protects from both UVA and UVB rays. This, according to Dr. Marmur, is the best broad spectrum sunscreen
Dr Oz: Solar Sense Clear Zinc Sunscreen Review
The 2nd rule is to not be fooled by high SPF (Sun Protection Factor). Dr. Marmur says to pick a sunscreen with SPF 30-50. If you put an SPF 10 on, you can stay in the sun 10 times longer without getting sunburn. SPF 50 is maximum number the FDA has tested. A good product? Solar Sense Clear Zinc Sunscreen. It won’t clog pores. Rub it in and reapply as needed.
Dr Oz: Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Faces Sunblock Review
The 3rd rule is to know truth about waterproof. Dr. Marmur says there is no such thing, or at least we can’t prove it. The FDA says labels should say water resistant or sweat resistant. Reapply these products every 40-80 minutes. One of the best products include Neutrogena Pure and Free Baby Faces Sunscreen because it’s water resistant for up to 80 minutes.
Dr Oz: L’Oreal Sublime Sun Sunblock Review
The 4th rule is to know that all-day protection is a lie. Dr. Marmur says this is true only if you live in a cave. A good product is L’Oreal Sublime Sun SPF 30 Sunscreen because it sprays on easily, which is great for kids on the go.
