Dr Oz: Sunscreen Buying Guidelines
Dr. Justin Piasecki says there have been recent changes regarding sunscreen and he shared a few guidelines to follow when you are choosing one for your family.
- Look for broad spectrum on the label because this means if protects you from both UVA and UVB radiation.
- Look for zinc oxide and titanium oxide—both reflect the radiation away from your skin
- Minimum SPF 30
- Water resistant (40-80 minutes)
- Reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours or after you get out of the water
