Dr Oz: Could Gluten Be Causing Your Fatigue?
If you’re exhausted and you don’t know why, gluten could be to blame. Dr Oz introduced a “controversial doctor” who said you don’t have to be gluten intolerant to be suffering from “grain drain.” Dr Oz explained that when someone is gluten sensitive or gluten intolerant, your body could be missing key nutrients, causing you to feel tired. The cells that line your intestinal walls let nutrients in but keep bad toxins out. When a gluten-sensitive person eats gluten, those cells become overwhelmed, letting toxins in, causing an autoimmune reaction, resulting in fatigue. Some call it the “leaky gut theory.”
