Dr Oz: Body Type Diets

Neurologist, Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary, MD, stated that everyone needed to shift their diet for their specific body type in order to successfully lose weight and ward off disease. Dr Oz: Kapha Diet Foods
Since this is the largest body type, you should eat foods that are light and easy to digest.
-start by reducing these foods by 25% and then increase to 50%
-You can have every other spice, such as honey and turmeric
-load up on veggies and whole grains
-eat foods high in fiber like lentils or bran
Try meals heavily spiced with turmeric, such as steamed veggies. Eat 3 meals a week like this. Kapha body types are naturally large so you don’t want to completely change your body type.
Dr Oz: Pitta Diet Foods
Pitta body type is medium build and muscular
-acidic foods (vinegar)
-alcohol (Phew! Luckily, this isn’t my body type!)
-naturally cooling foods
-sweet, juicy fruits (coconuts)
Eat foods made with kale, cucumber, cumin, coconut.
Salad with jicama and mangoes
Dr Oz: Vata Diet Foods
Small thin frames and they are dry and cold
-cold food (ice cream)
-well cooked food
-Ghee (clarified butter) Dr Oz tried it and said it tasted like popcorn
Eat meals with split yellow lentils, rice, turmeric, cumin and those other spices that help with digestion.
Dr Oz noted that when looking practice Ayurvedic Medicine, it is important to look for a medical practitioner and as well as one who specializes in Ayurvedic practices.
