Upside Down Cereal Bowl: Blast Calories
For breakfast, turn your bowl upside down. (not literally, of course!) Normally, you eat a lot of cereal and a little bit of fruit on the top. To blast 100 calories, do it in reverse. Add in ½ C of fruit and then ½ C of cereal.
Dr Oz: Gazpacho Shooter Recipe
For lunch, start with a shooter. Blast away the calories and keep your brain happy with a soup shooter. Soup has plenty of volume, but with fewer calories. Before eating your lunch, drink a gazpacho shooter and you’ll spontaneously combust 100 calories from your meal. The gazpacho tricks your brain into thinking it’s full.
Dr Oz: Cucumber Avocado Shooter Recipe
1 hothouse cucumber, peeled and chopped
Juice and zest of 1 lime
½ fennel bulb, chopped
Handful basil leaves
½ C green grapes
Place all ingredients in a blender and combine until smooth.
Blue Plates Make You Eat Less
For dinner, set a trimmer table. Use a contrasting colored plate. Studies show you will serve yourself 21% less food. (Blue is a good color choice for a plate.) Also, use a larger fork. The size of your fork is your best defense. Research shows that people who ate with a large fork left 2 x as much on their plate. Also, only serve salads and veggies family-style.

A recent USDA survey says that Americans are getting 30% of their calories from snacks. Instead of reaching for high calorie snacks, try frozen yogurt bites.
How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bites
Spoon Greek yogurt into a plastic bag
Snip the corner of the bag
Squeeze yogurt drops onto baking sheet
Freeze for 2 hours
The protein in the yogurt will help keep you satiated. When you deep-freeze your snacks, it takes longer to eat. Frozen yogurt bites have only 150 calories.
Dr Oz says you can lose 1 lb a week forever just by adding this strategy to any other plan you are doing.
