Was wondering if the amount recommended on the show would cause palpatations or cause someone to have difficulty sleeping.
It is impossible to find the product totally pure which makes things quite frustrating. I don’t understand why the nutrtionist couldn’t recommend the brand that he knew to be pure.
Again, if this product was soooo great why aren’t more doctors aware of it.
Also , when the gentleman said ABSOLUTELY NO SIDE EFFECTS–CAFFEINE
DOES HAVE SIDE EFFECTS FOR SOME PEOPLE.
What’s scaring me is people run out and buy the stuff antioned on the show just because it’s mentioned on the show. The only thing that could be truely safe is food optionsbut you have to even be careful with prescription meds and food combos.
I’m shocked that nothing was said about caffeine and the beans.
I think that doctor oz should start saying that if you have this condition or that condition you should check with your doctor. I love Dr. Oz but just because it’s on his show doesn’t mean it’s good for everyone.
For example the situation with the lima beans–many cancer organizations do not think eating lima beans is good for people with breast cancer concerns and neither is soy or soy products.. that should be said and it never is. Soy is natural estrogen which feeds certain types of breast cancer and it’s found in veggie burgers.
    Just be cautious!!!!

I am intrigued by the pure green coffee bean extract they talked on the show for weight loss, but also what they said about the sugar/glucose slow down, so I am wondering if this will help lower my blood sugar readings? On another show they had talked about white bean extract for blocking carbs and I imagine that would also reduce blood sugar readings if diabetic? I guess that is my question if these supplements like pure green coffee bean extract and the white bean extract are good for reducing blood sugar as well?

To the above person “DO”, I did some web research and found a few good links that stated green coffee has much less caffeine than roasted, almost negligible. It also has A LOT of chlorogenic acid that gets much reduced when roasted. Green coffee in studies seem to reduce hypertension, reduce weight (visceral fat as well) and has a positive effect on diabetes.
HOWEVER, read the medical tests and data, and DO talk to your doctor or natural health specialist (is better) to see if it’s right for you. I’ve watched MANY Dr. Oz shows and he almost always says to “check with your doctor”. “Do”, you stated, “if this product was soooo great why aren’t more doctors aware of it.” Probably because many doctors are close minded. If it’s not a ‘drug’ then they dismiss it. I’ve met quite a few doctors that didn’t even know about ‘basic’ natural health methods or medicine.
You also stated, “Many cancer organizations do not think eating lima beans is good for people with breast cancer concerns and neither is soy or soy products.. that should be said and it never is. Soy is natural estrogen which feeds certain types of breast cancer and it’s found in veggie burgers.” I have heard Oz mention that about soy before (more than once). Plus many cancer organizations always belittle or dismiss anything that even ‘hints’ of ‘natural’. their main methods of cancer treatment is expensive radiation type treatments. Targeting and killing the cancer cells with radiation, rather than treating the body as a whole and putting the body back in balance. This could be done in combination with the conventional treatments, but they practically act like it’s evil if you even suggest it. So the fact that they would not suggest or even know about lima beans is no shocker. It doesn’t mean they are right.
I say do as much research as you can and make an informed decision. It’s your life, don’t just entrust and hand it over to the first medical ‘official’ that hands you the latest pill. Be informed!

I took 900 mg of coffe bean extract at 2PM, Friday for first time, however I also had a piece of homemade Pizza with generous amount of home grown sage on it. At 9 pm my face started swelling and I stopped both, three days later my eyelids, cheeks and lips are still swollen in spite of Benedryl. I’m trying to find out which of these may be causing the swelling or if it was the combination of the two. I really need my cholesterol brought down so I hope it is the sage but for now I don’t intend to eat anything with fresh sage on it and a’m off the coffee bean extract until see my Doctor next week.

Charlotte, isn’t 900 mg a little much? How did you come to the decision to take that much? I just received my bottle and is says not to take more than 400 mg per serving (so at the most, take 400 mg before each meal, up to 2 to 3 times a day.)

I wanted to ask if anyone knows how long before the meals to take this extract?

I have taken it for only one day and I take it right before. I’m just worried I’m not doing it right!

Everything is so vague and we are taking info from each other who really aren’t the experts.
    Scary

I took two 400 mg capsules 30 minutes before the meal. Purchased it from the site recommended. Don’t know of any allergy to caffein prior to this and I don’t have a history of allergies. The objective was to reduce my cholesterol and BP as well as lose maybe 20 pounds. I am 73 years old so maybe I’m getting a sensitivity to it because of Norvasc 2.5 mg and Quinapril 10 mg. I have appointment with my physician tomorrow.
