Dr Oz’s Staff: Transformation Nation
Dr Oz spoke with Michael Lamb and Sharona Sankar-King, two of his Transformation Nation Finalists to get their best diet tips. He also did separate segments to get advice from Stephanie Lewis Vance, Sheila Haines and his other Top 10 Finalists. But before speaking to Michael Lamb and Sharona Sankar-King, Dr Oz peeked in on a staff Weight Watchers meeting at his office. One of his staffers lost 39 lbs and through The Dr Oz Show, figured out how to get healthy. Dr Oz said he wanted his staff to lead by example. They did just that. All together, his staff lost 347 lbs. The Dr Oz staff came out onto the stage where they received a huge applause from the audience.
Dr Oz: Michael Lamb Diet Tips
Michael Lamb- Michael was the average couch potato. At his heaviest, he was 300 lbs. He learned his wife had lupus and that he could be the kidney donor, but his body was not healthy. He joined Transformation Nation to get healthy for himself and his wife. Mike said the million dollars would be the icing on the cake, but it was so much more for him. He now has a healthy kidney for his wife and he’s a better person for it.
Best Tip: Turn on your internal switch to figure out why you want to lose the weight. Everything else will fall into place.
Shelly, Mike’s wife, came to the stage and told her husband how grateful she was for him getting healthy and adding years onto their lives.
Dr Oz: Sharona Sankar-King Diet Tips
Sharona Sankar-King- Sharona is the wife and mother of 2. She told Dr Oz it was a stressful life, which made it difficult to lose the baby weight. She decided to take her health seriously because she didn’t want to leave her kids without a mom. Dr Oz’s Transformation Nation helped her put herself first and lose 25 lbs.
Sharon’s kids came out onto the stage to surprise her. She had no idea they were going to be there. (The kiddies were adorable, and I’m not even a big kid fan!)
