Dr Oz: Brain Healthy Fats & Does Gluten Cause Alzheimer’s?

Dr Oz: Gluten Dementia Connection

Dr. Oz says gluten is under fire, not because it is often the cause of digestion issues, but because there is an expert who claims gluten will keep you fat and could severely damage your brain and cause Alzheimer’s. Today he has proof to share with Dr. Oz and it might just change the way you shop at the grocery store!

Dr Oz: Does Gluten Cause Alzheimer’s?

Dr. David Perlmutter says he began to see a connection in his patients with severe muscle spasms and the impact gluten was having on their brains, so he began to connect the dots and realized the best way to help his patients was to prescribe a gluten-free diet. The results were astonishing, with patients seeing incredible results when their spasms stopped almost completely after eliminating gluten from their diet. They also say they experienced several other health benefits, including an end to migraine headaches.

Hi Dr. Oz: The only gluten free products I favor are multigrain slice bread, brown rice pasta and ginger cookies.

Will these gluten free products affect my health negatively?

    Thank you.

My mother recently passed away from dementia. I believe she suffered from undiagnosed/untreated celiac. Her daughter and niece have both been diagnosed with celiac. I do not have any doubt that there is a link….it all starts in the gut! Get the research going, doctors, before the pharmaceuticals get involved. It can be solved with just diet.
