Dr Oz: Improve Your Health With Wine

Dr Oz reported that over 200 people with diabetes were put on the Mediterranean diet, but researchers were really looking at the role of alcohol on blood sugar and heart health. Participants in the study were asked to either drink a glass of white wine, a glass of red wine, a mineral water daily for two years. The results showed that those who drank red wine improved their HDL or “good cholesterol” levels by 2 points. Both wine drinkers lowers their risk factors for heart disease and both wine groups also reported better sleep.

Researchers have found no negative health effects from enjoying one daily glass of wine.
