Joe Cross spent 60 days juicing and it literally transformed his health. Now he is ready to share how you can do it too and all you need is one weekend! Joe says it is important to prepare your body before you begin your weekend juice cleanse, so for the two days leading up to the cleanse do the following:

  • Drink 16 ounces of hot water with lemon and ginger in the morning
  • Drink 1 cup of herbal tea (like chamomile) in the evening
  • Eliminate processed foods, caffeine, sugar, dairy and meat (lean proteins are okay)

    Joe Cross shared the guidelines to follow as you prepare your body for his 3-Day Weekend Juice Cleanse, including the removal of processed foods and caffeine from your diet.

Now that you have prepared your body for the cleanse it is time to get started. Here are Joe’s guidelines to follow during your weekend juice cleanse.

  • Drink five juices during the day
  • Eat 1 lean meal of fruits and vegetables for dinner

Dr Oz: Carrot, Apple, Ginger Juice

Joe says to drink this carrot, apple, ginger juice for breakfast as a great way to start off your day with a boost of energy.

  • 3 carrots
  • 2 apples
  • 1 inch of fresh ginger

Dr Oz: Mean-Green Juice

Joe Cross says this juice recipe is the one he drank the most when he traveled across the country while on his own juice cleanse journey.

  • 6-8 kale leaves
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2 apples
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 inch fresh ginger

Dr Oz: Gazpacho Juice

This is the juice you will want to drink for lunch every day of your weekend juice cleanse.

  • 4 plum tomatoes
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 small red onion
  • 2 cups parsley, roughly chopped
  • 1 lime

Dr Oz: Citrus Inspired Green Juice

This is your afternoon snack while on the weekend juice cleanse:

  • 8 swiss chard leaves
  • 6-8 kale leaves
  • 6 clementines
  • 1 cucumber

Dr Oz: Sunset Blend Juice

This is the juice you will drink before dinner while following Joe Cross’ weekend juice cleanse plan.

  • 2 golden delicious apples
  • 2 large beets
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 orange (optional)

Juicing vs Smoothies

Joe Cross explained that smoothies often contain extra ingredients like yogurt or even ice cream, but juices are simply the nutrient-filled liquid that is extracted from plants.

Weekend Juice Cleanse Success Stories

Dr. Oz says he trusts Joe Cross and believes him when he says his juice cleanse offers many health benefits, including weight loss, but he wanted to put it to the test with some of his viewers. Two women shared their experience and both told Dr. Oz the plan was easy-to-follow, with one of them losing four pounds over the weekend and the other five pounds! The biggest challenge for one of the women was having to give up coffee, but she managed to get through it and felt great the rest of the time.
