Dr Oz played a game to reveal some Mood Boosting Foods.  Many of us turn to junk food like ice cream, french fries or potato chips when we are upset, but there are much better foods to boost your mood.  Here are the Mood Boosters that Doctor Oz suggested.

Dr Oz: Omega 3’s Boost Your Mood

Dr Oz said that Omega 3’s boost the feel-good hormones in your brain.  So he asked Karen, a lady from the audience, whether grouper or stripedDr Oz Mood Boosters bass had more omega 3’s for boosting your mood.  The answer is Striped Bass, and since she guessed the right answer, she won a spa day at Exhale Spa.

Dr Oz: Vitamin B6 Boosts Your Mood

Dr Oz said that Vitamin B6 is important to keep your brain and body feeling good about your life.  What is the best source of Vitamin B6: figs or prunes?  Arienne, another lady in Doctor Oz’s audience, guessed prunes but the answer is that figs contain lots of Vitamin B6 that produce Serotonin in your brain.

Dr Oz: Vitamin D Boosts Your Mood

Dr Oz’s final question was which of the following is the best source of Vitamin D: mushrooms or string beans?  Carol, yet another woman in Dr Oz’s audience, guessed string beans, but the answer is that mushrooms contain lots of Vitamin D, which boosts your mood.
