Dr Oz: 3-Day Jump Start Cleanse Boosts Energy & Prebiotic Shake Recipe

Dr Oz: Probiotic Supplement Health Benefits

This week Dr. Oz is on a mission to help you detox and cleanse your body so you can regain your energy while improving your overall health. Today he has a 3-Day Energy Boosting Jump Start Cleanse to get you started in the right direction.

Dr Oz: Skin Test Determines Signs Of Toxicity In the Body

Dr. Alejandro Junger, author of Clean Gut, says cleaning your gut is the most important thing you can do to get your energy back because the gut is not only where we digest food, but surrounding the gut is 80% of our immune system. Before you begin a cleanse Dr. Junger recommends taking his skin test to determine whether a detox might be in your best interest.

  • Less elastic skin (pinch the skin on your skin and see how quickly it returns to normal)
  • Dry, puffy skin
  • Redness & discoloration

It sounds good, I’m going to get the things and start. THANK YOU FOR BEING ON DR. OZ. ROSE

Barbara, As I understand it the shake is just in the morning. The rest of the day you can not have: Processed sugar, dairy, caffine, alcohol or gluten. Main diet to consist of fruits and veggies.

Ok for all that are confused. You could go onto the site and read what was said on the show and print out the jumpstart cleanse sheet, which shows you everything, but if you can’t find it here is the diet. Take the probiotic and enzyme supplements with your morning shake. Then for lunch take the enzymes right before you eat your lunch. Also take the Berberine and L-Glutamine. At dinner just take the enzyme. About 1/2 to 1 hour before bed take the Magnesium supplement. For lunch and dinner you should have a 3-4 ounce serving of either lean chicken, turkey, fish or beans or grains like quinoa. Only have one of these, do not have two together as they all have differing enzyme needs and will take too much work for your digestive tract. The rest of your lunch plate and dinner plate should be filled with vegetables of your choice. Thats it. Really simple.

I have been doing this for three days but I bought Soy Protein powder which I was told at GNC is a vegetable based protein powder. Today I was looking at Dr. Jungers actual book Clean Gut, and it says to stay away from Soy. So what should I be using? Also I could not find Berberine at any health food or supplement store around, but was told Golden Seal has berberine in it so it could be used. I would just like some clarification on what type of protein powder to use and if Golden Seal is acceptable for Berberine. I hate to think I have been doing this wrong the whole 3 days.

My daughter and I want to start the 3 day Jumpstart cleanse and have collected all of the supplements. I was reading about the glutamine and it says not to use if you have liver disease or kidney problems. Does anyone have info on this?

  8. Jill says

From what i understand, the 3 day jumpstart and the book are a little different. I have the book, but i have read what Dr Oz has on his website. The book is organic & gluten free. Dr. Oz is not.

  9. Marie says

I would like to know, how long can you stay on this cleanse (Prebiotic Shake Recipe)? I want to stay on it for at least 31 days. Please respond.
