Dr. Oz: Woman Loses Her Hearing From Meningitis

Dr. Oz talked to a deaf woman who had a big dream. Her name is Kelle and she works in a kitchen. Kelle lost her hearing as a child after a serious bout with Meningitis. The high fever caused nerve damage to her ears. As a deaf child, she felt isolated. She buried herself in books. She now communicates entirely by reading lips. Kelle can even read lips from across the room.
