Dr Oz’s show on July 11, 2011 is called 4 Hours To The Perfect Body. Doctor Oz was joined by Timothy Ferriss to discuss the theory behind two of his books: The 4 Hour Body and The 4 Hour Workweek. By changing just a few things in your life, could you really lose 20 pounds in just 30 days? It has worked for some people apparently! The 4 Hour Diet includes Ice Therapy or an Ice Bath, eating 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning and pigging out once a week. Sounds pretty simple, right? Why does Ferriss think this works? The Ice Bath forces your body to burn a ton of calories because it has to work overtime to warm you. And one of my favorite tips was that you can help to counteract any diet mistakes that you make by drinking some grapefruit juice and doing squats because that helps the sugar to go into your muscles in the form of fuel rather than to turn into belly fat. Dr Oz: Diet Traps
Dr Oz spoke about the top 3 Diet Pitfalls, which are overeating at restaurants, having a busy schedule and losing motivation. Which of these Diet Traps do you get caught in most often? For me, it is definitely the busy schedule pitfall. I have found the crock pot to be extremely useful for preparing healthy meals, especially on days when I know that my schedule is crammed full of activities.
