Dr Oz: Defy You Age Diet
Dr Oz’s Show on September 1, 2011 is called Dr Oz’s Defy Your Age Diet. Doctor Oz gave a different weight loss diet plan depending on whether you are in your 30’s, 40’s or 50’s. For example, when you are in your 50’s you are likely to be going through Menopause which makes your estrogen levels go way down. You can help to balance your fluctuating estrogen levels by incorporating Flax Seeds into your diet. Dr Oz even gave a delicious Watermelon Split Recipe that uses flax seeds. When you are in your 40’s, you begin to make less Testosterone because your ovaries begin to shrink. Dr Oz suggested combating this by increasing the amount of beans that you eat. Roman Beans, for example, are rich in protein and are a good choice. And when you are in your 30’s, you want to eat lots of Metabolism Boosting Foods such as button mushrooms, pine nuts and balsamic vinegar.
Dr Oz: PGX Fiber Sticks & The Halsa Mat
Doctor Oz also did a segment on Weight Loss Must Haves, which included products such as PGX Fiber Sticks, The Halsa Mat and the T-Fal Actifry. The Halsa Mat is a mat that you lay on and it has many tiny spikes that help to stimulate the acupressure points in your body – it really is an intriguing concept! PGX Fiber Sticks help you to add fiber into your diet, since the average woman only gets 12 grams of fiber on a daily basis (and you want 25-30 grams of fiber). And the T-Fal Actifry looks like a fabulous new kitchen gadget that lets you enjoy your favorite fried junk foods without all of the extra calories. For example, using the T-Fal Actifry, Dr Oz was able to make french fries with 200 calories rather than 1400 calories (which is how many calories are found in fries at some of your favorite fast food places!). Have you tried the Halsa Mat, PGX Fiber Sticks or the T-Fal Actifry? If so, please leave a comment below and share with everyone your thoughts and opinions!
