Dr Oz’s show on May 3, 2011 is called The Teen Mom Phenomenon. Many of us have seen or at least have heard of MTV’s Teen Mom television show. Does it glamorize teen pregnancy? These Teen Mom “Stars,” Kailyn, Leah and Maci, will come face-to-face with some of their critics. What do you and your kids think of MTV’s Teen Mom? Doctor Oz said that there is a rumor that some teens are even trying to pregnant on purpose to try to get onto the show. What do you think: is this show raising awareness for how hard it is to be a Teen Mom, or is it making more teens want to get pregnant?
Dr Oz: Kidney Disease
Dr Oz will also do a segment on Kidney Disease that will cover some great ways to prevent getting it. Doctor Oz has not spoken about Kidney Disease on any of his shows recently, other than on his show about the pollution in our water supply. Click here to read a recap of that segment: Dr Oz: Tap Water Pollution.
Dr Oz: Super-Foods For Sleep
Dr Oz’s show will also include a segment on Super-Foods for Sleep. We have all heard about milk and turkey, which has Tryptophan, as being helpful for falling asleep. But I bet that Doctor Oz has more interesting Superfoods to help us sleep. Interestingly though, Dr Oz recently said that you should not eat anything two hours before going to bed, so I wonder if these Superfoods are meant to be eaten a few hours before your bedtime. Click here to read the recap where Dr Oz spoke about the importance of not eating right before going to bed: Dr Oz Sleepless Nights. Also, in another Dr Oz segment, he said that bananas are a great food for helping you to sleep well. Click here to read why bananas promote sleep: Dr Oz Bedtime Snacks.
