Chris explained that our body uses up a lot of calories when we eat protein, around 100 just in the digestion process, so they are great for fighting flab.

Dr Oz: Chris Powell’s Breakfast Burrito Recipe

Here is what you need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1 low-carb high-fiber tortilla
  • Salsa
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Here is what you do:

  1. In a medium pan, heat the oil and cook the onions for a few minutes until soft.
  2. While the onions are sautéing, scramble the eggs in a small bowl. Add a splash of water and pour the eggs into the pan with the onions.
  3. Gently scramble the eggs as they cook until they’re almost set. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat the tortilla in a dry pan and fill with the cooked eggs. Add the salsa, roll up, and enjoy!

Dr Oz: Chris Powell Miracle Meals To Lose 20 Lbs & Turkey BLT Recipe

Chris Powell has created Miracle Meals that will help you lose 20 pounds in just 13 weeks in 2013!

Here is what you need:

  • 2 oz lean turkey breast
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 leaves green lettuce
  • 2 slices cooked turkey bacon
  • 2 slices Ezekiel sprouted bread, lightly toasted

Build your sandwich and enjoy!

Dr Oz: Chris Powell’s Tofu Veggie Stir Fry Recipe

Here is what you need:

  • 1 cup extra firm tofu, drained and diced
  • 3/4 cup carrot chips
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped ginger
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Here is what you do:

  1. Combine the soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of ginger, half of the garlic, the honey and the vinegar and marinade the Tofu while you do the next steps.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large pan and cook the carrots until they just begin to soften. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Quickly cook the snow peas in the same pan and then add them to the carrot bowl.
  4. Cook the onions until they begin to soften and then add them to the carrots and peas.
  5. Drizzle the rest of the oil into the pan, add the tofu and cook. Stir occasionally until the tofu starts to brown.
  6. Add the cooked vegetables back to the pan with the tofu. Toss it all together and let everything heat up again.
  7. Add a little more soy sauce and serve over brown rice.
