Jorge says these new flours are easy to use as a replacement for white flour in all of your favorite recipes.
Coconut Flour: Jorge Cruise says Coconut Flour is wonderful as a breading in your favorite fried recipes. He added you can replace 1/4 cup of Coconut Flour for every cup of “regular” flour when baking or cooking.
Dr Oz: Coconut Flour Fried Chicken & Tomatoes
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil for frying
Dr Oz: Almond Flour 2-Minute Cake
We all love cake, right? Well Jorge Cruise has a recipe for Almond Cake that will actually feed the healthy bacteria in your body and help to reduce your belly fat!
Here is what you need:
- 1/2 cup Almond Flour
- 1/4 cup Truvia Baking Blend
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 2 tablespoons half & half
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir just until moistened. Pour 1/4 of the mixture into a mug and cook in microwave for 2 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the batter or refrigerate and save for later. Enjoy!
Dr Oz: Flaxseed Almond Butter Pancakes
Jorge Cruise says Flaxseed Flour is wonderful for making your favorite breakfast treats, like waffles, pancakes or muffins. You can find it in stores as either Flaxseed Flour or Flaxseed Meal.
Here is what you need for healthy and delicious pancakes:
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 cup Flaxseed Flour
- 2 tablespoons Almond Butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Combine all ingredients and prepare pancakes as you normally would. Enjoy!
