Ming’s super soup blasts germs and turns your body into a fortress. His #1 secret for warding off illness is Shiitake mushrooms. These mushrooms help build your immune system.

Ming Tsai’s Super Soup for Super Immunity Recipe

Step 1:
Sauté ingredients:

1 Tbsp grapeseed oil
1 Jalapeno (leave in the seeds because they contain capsaicin)
1 Tbsp minced ginger (great for nausea)
1Tbsp minced garlic
2 bunches scallions
1 lb Shiitakes (break off stems but save for stock)

Mix the ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2:
Add liquid, tofu carrots:

2 Quarts chicken stock
2 Tbsp soy sauce(make sure it’s naturally brewed and organic)
2 Lemons, juiced (contains vitamin C)
2 C carrots, shredded
1 Block silken tofu (soy based. This great protein is low fat)
Black pepper

Simmer for 20 minutes.

Place in pot to heat up the tofu and it’s done.

Step 3:
Ladle into bowls and garnish

-2 Tbsp scallion greens
-Add a little lemon zest

Dr Oz and Chef Ming taste the soup and it’s good. And, don’t forget, it’s low fat, so added bonus there. Eat this soup on a regular basis to boost your immunity.

  2. Mushroom amounts are not in this reciept/ I watched the show and it looked like maybe two cups.? Let me know what chef says is the best amount. Thanks.

  3. Can you freeze this soup for later and if not how long will it last in the fridge?

  4. Chef Ming probably hasn’t had a good romp in the hay either, with all that tofu he chugs. Horrible food!

This soup is not the best remedy for an ailing person, as it boasts LOW FAT!! What does the immune system need but Vit A, D, E? These are fat-soluble vitamins found in butter, egg, animal products. Dr. Price found that people would rise off their deathbeds with two things: high vitamin butter oil (Vit A, D) and cod liver oil dropped under the tongue. These are both fats that the immune system LOVES. In fact, the time-proven remedy for measles is Vit A. Tofu reduces thyroid activity and is a stress to the body. Better to put some high quality, easily digested protein like QUINOA in it.

Sorry, Dr. Oz….you’ve been brainwashed by the Diet DictoCrats who don’t know squat about the role of healthy fats in the human diet!!!

  5. Dr. Oz has a lot to learn about fats from animal protein. Also about soy products and GM foods. Apparently, he’s a victim of industry lies…like so many of us are these days. Canola, margarine and soy are the fats to avoid! Instead choose, unrefined coconut oil, olive oil and real butter – grass fed!
