In this segment, Dr Oz brought out author and Top Chef, Sam Talbot, to show you how to prepare delicious, healthy, hotcakes that cut the calories and carbohydrates. Sam Talbot was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 12-years-old. Even at that age, he prepared food with his grandmother to help keep his condition in check. Sam told Doctor Oz that he had two very important secrets to make hotcakes in a healthy way: using whole wheat flour, which is high in calcium and fiber, and using agave instead of sugar.
