Dr Oz: Healthy Yacon Syrup Recipes
Now that you know what others think of yacon syrup, including Dr. Oz’s 28-day weight loss participants and respected medical professionals, Dr. Oz wants to share easy ways you can add it to your diet. He asked Chef Sue Baldassono of the Natural Gourmet Institute to help create simple recipes that are also good for you. Sue says it has a taste similar to molasses, which makes it pair nicely with many other flavors. Yacon syrup is best used for room temperature recipes because baking it will kill the nutrients.
Dr Oz: Yacon Syrup Salad Dressing Recipe
Here is what you need:
- 3-4 tablespoons yacon syrup
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons ginger
- Sea salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredient together and use to dress your favorite salad.
