Dr Oz: Foods That Prevent Parasite Infections

Dr Oz: Roundworm Infection Symptoms

Dr. Oz’s next guest believed she was simply sick with the flu until she started to cough up roundworms. What might be worse is that they were alive! She actually did not believe what she saw in the toilet, so she went back to bed thinking she was imagining things due to the high fever she was experiencing. The next morning it only got worse, so she immediately went to see her doctor, but she says she never actually learned where the worms came from. Fortunately she is doing well now, but says she does suffer from asthma and avoids eating spaghetti. Dr. Margaret Williamson explained the common symptoms associated with a roundworm infection.

Dr. Williamson says that a roundworm infection is diagnosed by looking at a person’s stool because it will be filled with roundworm eggs.

Dr. Oz wanted to offer natural ways you can protect yourself from getting an infection from a parasite. The first is to eat a lot of high-fiber foods in your diet, especially whole grains. High fiber foods actually prevent parasites from being able to grab onto the inside of your intestines, so they then just float away and out of your body.
