Dr. Oz sat down with Dr. Sanjay Gupta to discuss how overstimulation is harmful to the brain. Dr. Gupta offered tips to rest your brain and protect if from harm in the future.
Dr Oz: Dr Gupta’s Super Smoothie Recipe
Since it is a good thing for doctors to lead by example, Dr. Oz asked Dr. Sanjay Gupta to share some of his own health habits. He started by sharing his favorite smoothie recipe!
Sanjay Gupta Super Smoothie Recipe
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 squeeze of honey
Combine all ingredients and blend for 1-2 minutes on high speed.
Dr. Gupta says he prefers getting his nutrients from real food rather than a multivitamin because they are better absorbed by the body when you consume that way. He is not against multivitamins, but they are not his preference for giving his body what it needs.
Dr Oz: Aspirin Dose to Prevent Heart Attack
Dr. Sanjay Gupta says he has concerns about heart disease, so he takes a “baby” Aspirin every day to reduce his risk for a heart attack.
- Take in the morning with food or juice.
- Do not take Aspirin on an empty stomach.
- Take one 81 MG tablet every day.
