Doctor Oz did a segment on three summer cocktails he would never drink, and 3 slimming summer cocktails that Dr Oz would drink. Which do you think are the most fattening cocktails and which do you think are the low calorie and low fat cocktails: Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Mudslide, Cosmopolitan, Margarita or Mojito.
Low Calorie Cocktail: Strawberry Daiquiri or Pina Colada
Dr Oz said that he would not choose the Pina Colada, because it has 625 calories and 75 grams of sugar, which is double the calories of a Strawberry Daiquiri.
Low Calorie Cocktail: Mudslide or Cosmopolitan
Dr Oz said that the Mudslide has 850 calories and 27 grams of fat because it has coffee liquor, whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate syrup (and all of the yummy ingredients that make it, unfortunately, my favorite cocktail!!!). I wonder if kahlua and milk is healthier than a mudslide, because if so, it is a good alternative if you want a mudslide type of flavor (that is my second favorite cocktail!). Cosmos have 3 times less calories than mudslides
Low Calorie Cocktail: Margarita or Mojito
Dr Oz said that margaritas can have 900 calories and are high in carbohydrates and sugar. I never would have guessed that a margarita is even worse for you than a mudslide! Mojitos are delicious though and if you make it with lime juice, mint leaves, 1 ounce of run, and agave nectar instead of sugar, a Mojito can be as low as 100 calories.
