1. Oolong Tea
Dr Oz said that Black Oolong Tea has polyphenols in it which helps your body to fight off triglycerides. Another great thing about Oolong Tea is that it does not contain a lot of caffeine, which means that you can drink a lot of it without having to worry about the side effects of lots of caffeine.
2. Black Pepper
Dr Oz said that spicy foods help you to lose weight… so now I am definitely feeling less guilty about that Mexican restaurant we went to over the weekend! Dr Oz suggested making a spicy tomato juice drink similar to a Bloody Mary by mixing black pepper with tomato juice, which contains lycopene and helps to protect your mitochondria (the fat burning power plants in your body). Also, you can become healthier by replacing salt in your cooking with black pepper.
Dr Oz said that beans are made of soluble fiber, which helps to lower insulin levels and they prevent fat from growing. You can eat red beans, white beans or (my personal favorite) black beans. Beans also help you to feel full so that you do not overeat. Aim for two cups of beans every day… haha I think my husband can only follow this tip if he takes something like Beano afterwards!
4. Ice Water
Dr Oz said that in order to digest ice water, your body has to first warm up the water. Therefore, if you drink 8 cups of ice water every day, you will burn an extra 70 calories.
