Dr Oz played a game called “Got A Bad Habit? There’s A Pill For That” to teach us about the perfect pills to protect your health and to help you break bad habits. Doctor Oz had two sisters play against each other. Did you know that you should be taking Algae Oil if you do not exercise? Folic Acid if you drink a lot of coffee? Vitamin E if you spend a lot of time in the sun? And Chromium if you have a sweet tooth? Here are the reasons why:
Dr Oz: Algae Oil If You Don’t Exercise
Dr Oz asked which pill should you take if you do not exercise: Algae Oil or Vitamin B12? The answer is that you should take Algae Oil if you don’t exercise because exercise helps to raise your HDL Cholesterol (your healthy cholesterol). So if you don’t exercise, Algae Oil will help to increase your HDL Cholesterol and to protect you against heart disease.
Dr Oz: Vitamin E Prevents Sunburn
Dr Oz’s second question was which pill should you take if you spend too much time in the sun? Vitamin D or Vitamin E? The answer is that you should take 1000 IU Vitamin E before sun exposure because it can help protect you against getting a sunburn.
Dr Oz: Folic Acid For Coffee Drinkers
Dr Oz’s third question was which pill should you take if you drink too much coffee? Folic Acid or Vitamin A? You should take Folic Acid if you drink a lot of coffee, because coffee drinking leads to higher levels of amino acids, and folic acid helps to bring that level back down by about 20%. And here I thought only pregnant ladies need Folic Acid supplements!
Dr Oz: Chromium For Sweet Tooth
Dr Oz’s final questions was which pill should you take if you have a sweet tooth? Chromium or Vitamin B6? The answer is that you should take 200 mcg of Chromium every day if you have a sweet tooth, because it can help improve your insulin sensitivity.
