Dr Oz: Best Mexican Food: Beef Enchilada vs Vegetable Burrito
Dr Oz said that surprisingly, a beef enchilada is a better choice at a Mexican Restaurant than a vegetable burrito. The beef enchiladas had 520 calories and 28 grams of fat, compare to the vegetable burrito which has 1490 calories and 68 grams of fat. The mole sauce on the enchiladas is better for you and there is less fat since there is no sour cream or cheese.
Dr Oz: Best Chinese Food: Chicken Chow Mein vs General Tso’s Chicken
Dr Oz said that the best food to order at a Chinese Restaurant is Chicken Chow Mein, because it has 700 calories and 10 grams of fat. General Tso’s Chicken has 1300 calories and 86 grams of fat, because each piece of chicken is coated with a big thick fried batter and topped with tons of sauce. One trick I always do when I eat out is to ask for the sauce on the side. That way you can be in charge of deciding how much sauce you eat. Dr Oz also suggested eating with chopsticks because you cannot scoop up as much oil that way and you will eat slower. I sure wish that I was coordinated enough to use chopsticks!
Dr Oz: Best Italian Food: Spinach & Cheese Ravioli vs Chicken Scampi
Dr Oz said that the best dish to order at an Italian Restaurant is a Spinach & Cheese Ravioli dish, because it has 480 calories and 16 grams of fat. Whereas the Chicken Scampi dish has 1070 calories and 53 grans if fat. Beware of the sauce on chicken, because that is what makes the dish so bad for you. Instead, look for tomato based sauces which tend to be better for you.
