Dr Oz: Does Drinking Wine Before Bed Make You Sleep?

Dr Oz said that it is the worst idea to drink wine or alcohol before going to bed, because while it can make you fall asleep at first, it does not help you to stay asleep and it does not give you good quality sleep, so you often wake-up in the middle of the night and do not get into the dream state or REM state.  Instead, Dr Oz suggested drinking milk or chamomile tea before going to bed, because it is a natural sedative.

Dr Oz: Sleeping On The Right Side is Best For You

Dr Oz said that the best way to sleep at night is on your right side, because it gives your heart a little extra room.  If you sleep on your right side, then your heart does not touch your chest wall.  A study found that people who lay on their left side had more problems with heart failure.

Dr Oz: Humidifier for Best Sleep

Dr Oz said that sleeping with a fan on is the worst way to sleep because it dries out your trachea and throat, so you often wake-up thirsty in the middle of the night.  Sleeping with a humidifier is the best idea, because a humidifier moistens your trachea and you end up with a nice relaxed environment where bacteria cannot stick.
