Dr Oz: Eat Away the Years: Raspberries Twice Fiber of Oatmeal

Dr Oz did a segment called “Eat Away The Years” where he gave two guests clues about foods that would turn back time, and they had to guess which food he was speaking about. Dr Oz Raspberries Have Twice The Fiber of Oatmeal

Food to Turn Back Time #1: Ricotta Cheese

Doctor Oz said that part skim ricotta cheese is high in calcium, low in sodium and is a great substitute for many toppings.  Plus, it is low in fat!  So try replacing sour cream or cream cheese with ricotta cheese.  Another bonus of ricotta cheese is that it contains potassium, which is essential for cell function.

Food to Turn Back Time #2: Popcorn

Dr Oz said that popcorn is high in polyphenols, an antioxidant that can reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.  In fact, air popped popcorn has higher levels of this antioxidant than many fruits and vegetables.

Food to Turn Back Time #3: Raspberries

Dr Oz said that raspberries are very high in fiber and can reduce the risk of Diabetes.  I had no idea that raspberries had more fiber than a bran muffin or oatmeal.  Dr Oz said that raspberries have twice the fiber of oatmeal.  So turn back the clock by up to 2 years by eating a cup of raspberries!

Dr. Oz has awesome health tips.
I just made a “fresh raspberrie smoothie” because of this “raspberries have 2x fhe fiber of oatmeal” update.
I used 1% organic milk, and 1 cup fresh raspberries…blended it in my Vitamix blender for 16 SECONDS.
and it was delicious and nutritious from Dr. Oz Show!
Thanks, Dr. Oz for this “raspberrie health information!”‘
