Dr Oz: Kerastase, Phyto Mask, Klorane Dry Shampoo & Joico K-Pak

Dr Oz did a segment called Your Top 3 Hair Problems Solved, to answer our top three hair complaints as we age.  Tabatha Coffey, from Bravo, and Ted Gibson, from What Not to Wear, joined Doctor Oz to share their favorite hair products for dry hair, oily hair and split ends.  What a great list of hair treatments to try! Dr Oz: Dry Hair Products

Dr Oz said that as you age, there is sometimes not enough moisture in your hair because you lose some of the oil that keeps it lubricated due to your changing hormone levels.

Dr Oz: Kerastase Bain Satin Shampoo

Tabatha said that Kerastase Bain Satin Shampoo give your hair moisture, without making it feel weighed down.  Plus, as soon as you use it, your hair becomes like silk and you can easily run your fingers through it.  Sounds heavenly!

Dr Oz: Phyto Hydrating Mask

Ted Gibson said that the Phyto Hydrating Mask is one of his favorite products for dry hair, because you can actually apply it to dry hair and let it soak in.

Dr Oz: Oily Hair Products

Dr Oz’s next guest said that she has oily hair or greasy hair and it causes her hair to be limp and flat on her head.  Here are the products recommended on the Dr Oz show for oily hair:

Dr Oz: Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets

Coffey said that these oil absorbing sheets work just as well on your hair as they do on your face.  Just blot around your hair line and in your part, which are the main areas that get oily and greasy.

Dr Oz: Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo

Gibson said that Klorane Dry Shampoo is fantastic for soaking up oil and gives your hair just enough volume, since it is a spray that you massage into your scalp.

Dr Oz: Split Ends Products

Dr Oz’s last volunteer said that she has brittle, dry, frizzy and unruly hair with the worst split ends.  Dr Oz said that hair is made up of shingles and when the cuticles crack, the hair can unravel.  At this point, it is too late to turn back and cutting off the split ends is the best solution.  But when you don’t want to chop your hair, here are some split end products recommended on the Dr Oz Show today:

Dr Oz: Joico Split End Mender

Tabatha said that you work the Joico Split End Mender through either damp hair or dry hair, and it helps to protect your hair against heat (like the deadly hair straightening iron that destroys my hair!).

Dr Oz: Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade

Ted Gibson said the Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade is excellent if you do Japanese Straightening or Brazilian Hair Straightening … or even if you just have split ends for other reasons.  You just rub Aveda’s Pomade in your hands and then apply it to your hair in sections.  Dr Oz’s volunteer said it smells great too!

  1. As1590 says

Ya kerastase will make you able to run your hands through your hair because of all the wax it contains. Not to mention the 6 different sulfates, sodium chloride, salicylic acid, and lanolin (sheep sebum). Guess what people just because something is overpriced and sold in an expensive salon doesn’t make it good. And just because somebody is a hairstylist doesn’t mean they know anything about products. Trust me I’ve been to state board and they don’t test you on ingredients in hair products : )
