Dr Oz: 1 Minute Microwave Dinners

Dr Oz’s Microwave Meals sound delicious!  In this segment, Dr Oz brought up 2 Dr Oz Viewer Fans (Jessica and Barbara) to give their recipes for their 1 Minute Microwave Dinners.  Dr Oz did this last month and the response was so overwhelming, he decided to do it again.

Dr Oz: Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas Recipe

– 2 pre-cooked sliced chicken breasts
– 1 Tbsp of lime juice
– 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
– 1 tsp of garlic powder
– Sea salt
– Black pepper
– 1 can of black beans (be sure to drain)
– 1 tsp of lime juice
– 1 tsp of garlic powder
– 1/4 tsp of sea salt
– 1 cup of shredded low-fat Mexican cheese
– 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
– 8 whole-wheat tortillas
– Chopped avocado is optional

Place all the ingredients into a round tortilla.  Place another tortilla on top.  (You can also roll it up if you prefer.)  Stick it in the microwave for 50 seconds. They tried it and it tastes delicious.  Make this at home and leave a comment below.

Dr Oz: Ginger Salmon Recipe

Dr Oz Microwave Meals- 8 oz salmon
– 5 slices of ginger
– 1 orange
– 2 cloves of garlic
– Fresh cilantro
– Thyme
– A pinch of salt and pepper
– 1 Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

Place salmon in microwaveable bowl.  Place the ingredients on top of the salmon (squeeze the juice from the orange onto the salmon.)  Put a hard plate on top of the microwaveable bowl.  (Dr Oz doesn’t like plastic wrap in the microwave.)  Put it in for 4 minutes.  (Hey, that’s more than a minute!)  Dr Oz tasted the salmon and said it was delicious!  Try this at home and leave a comment to let us know if you liked it or not.
