Dr Oz: 7 Step Diet Plan
Dr Oz’s Transformation Nation is made up of a 7 step plan to change your health by decreasing your weight. Doctor Oz is teaming up with Weight Watchers, so he spoke with Liz Josefsberg (a Weight Watchers Leader) about why a weight loss program is so important. She said that losing weight alone is very difficult, but when you have structure, support and a place to go, things become easier. The following are Dr Oz’s 7 Step Plan:

Dr Oz’s first goal for us is to lose 10% of our weight, or to get into the healthy BMI bracket. Here are four steps to help you lose 10% of your weight:

1. Make Smarter Food Choices
Liz Josefsberg told Dr Oz that the Weight Watchers Points Plus program gives everyone a “Points Plus Budget” of points that you can “spend” each day based on individual factors like age, gender, height, etc. You then have to make the decision as to whether you want to eat a whole plate of healthier food, or a small snack of a less healthy food, both of which may cost you the same number of points.
2. Don’t Give Up Foods You Love
Josefsberg also said that with the Weight Watchers Program you do not have to give up the foods that you love. Everyone in the program also gets additional points every week for foods they love and can’t live without like pizza or ice cream sandwiches.
3. Eat More Fresh Fruits & Vegetables
Dr Oz had a gorgeous display of fruits and veggies, because with the Weight Watchers program, there are no limits on how many fruit and vegetable servings you can have daily, because they have a value of 0 Points Plus.
4. Seek Support
The final piece of advice is to seek support, because losing weight alone is always much harder. You can join Weight Watchers for support, because they have leaders and groups of people to support you on a weekly basis. Plus you will review strategies, tips and recipes.
