Doctor Oz did a segment on Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. If you are over 30 years old, you could be in danger of brittle bones, which only worsens by the time you are in your 50’s. Bones are living and growing tissue that can constantly replenish and repair itself and grow. When you are young, new bone is added faster than old bone is removed. But as you get older, your old bone is removed faster than new bone is added, which causes your bones to get weaker and more fragile. This can cause Osteopenia, which leads to Osteoporosis. Dr Oz said that women get Osteopenia more often than men.
