Dr Oz: Cottage Cheese Pineapple Rosacea Facial

In this segment, Dr Oz introduced Dermatologist, Dr. Ellen Marmur, MD to help show you how you can get great looking skin with ingredients straight from the fridge.

Dr Oz: Dry Flaky Skin Face Mask

Ingredients:

– Fruit from inside of a cut avocado Dr Oz Rosacea Facial
– 1 Tbsp of honey

Dr. Marmur mixed the ingredients together and then smoothed it onto Samantha’s (a Doctor Oz audience member) face.  Leave the mixture or you can cover it with a cold washcloth soaked in water or soaked in green tea.  Leave it on the face for 10 minutes.  Do this 3 times a week for moisturized skin.

Dr Oz: Rosacea Facial

Rosacea: This condition affects 16 million people and leaves skin red, irritated, and flaky.  Karen, an audience member, tried medicated creams and over-the-counter soaps. Those products only hurt and made it worse.

– 1 cup of cottage cheese
– Minced quarter cup of pineapple

Pineapple has vitamin C and decreases the redness.  The cottage cheese is like milk to smooth and calm the skin.  Dr. Marmur mixed up the ingredients.  (Be sure to drain some of the water from the pineapple.)  Dr. Marmur smeared it onto Karen’s face.  Leave it on for 10 minutes.  Do this 3 times a week to relieve red, dry patches.

Comments to Dr Oz: Rosacea Face Mask & Dry Flaky Skin Facial

  1. Dear Sir,

When I drink sweet lime, lemon and carrot juice. All the 3 together. I get red cheeks.

  2. We love you Thanks so much for your facial remedies and diabetes metamucil vinegar drink

  3. hello, I have naturally red cheeks and a red nose, though it is not officially Rosacea. I decided to give this mixture a try to just see if it will cut down on some of the natural redness in my skin. I blended up the cottage cheese and some pineapple with the rind (as was stated on the show) and placed it on my face like a facial mask for about 15 minutes. Afterwards I wiped it off and I noticed that my face was more red than before! After about 5 minutes I noticed a definite increase in redness and a line where I had put the mixture, almost like a sunburn, also my face became slightly itchy. I was wondering why this would happen? If it helps, for my whole life when I eat pineapple my mouth and tongue become itchy, but I did not think this would carry over to the skin. Any ideas/advice?

  4. Tim,
You are probley a little bit allergic to something in the pineapple.

Thankyou so much. I plan to use one of these facials before my wedding.

  5. I purchased the ANTIOXIDANT Berry Masque (from the Lady Soma brand) after doing ALOT of research on the ingredients. Use on face, chest and hands. The first application was not dramatic as far as results go; but I use daily and the results are fantastic.

It took me about a week to get the impressive results. I have very dry skin. My serums and creams were not penetrating into my skin to give me a hydrated look. Now I can easiy tell when the serums and creams are penetrating. My skin is much more even in color, hydrated, healthy looking. I apply the mask work into my skin for a few seconds and leave on for 15 minutes.

That took over a week to change, but wow I can wear lower cut tops now and my skin is radiant! I have stocked up on this product, I never want to run out. Finally a product line that works!

  6. Kourtney B says:

I recently started using Made from Earth’s Rosehip Hibiscus Serum based on my dermatologist’s recommendation. The serum is great and hydrates my skin. I have rosacea and my skin tends to be extremely dry, but since using these products, I find my skin is very well hydrated and does not irritate my rosacea.
