Dr Oz: Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin K & Vitamin D: Vitamin Toss-Up


Doctor Oz played a basketball style game on the Dr Oz show in a game called “Vitamin Toss-Up.”  Vitamins guard us against many deadly diseases.  How much do you know about Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Vitamin D?  And do you know what food contains these vitamins?  Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin K & Vitamin D

Vitamin E Sources

Vitamin E protects your lungs from polluted air and protects your skin from UV light rays.  Sunflower seeds are a great source of Vitamin E!

Vitamin C Sources

Vitamin C helps your body to heal a cut and can also lower your cancer risk.  Red bell peppers are a great source of Vitamin C!

Vitamin K Sources

Dr Oz said that Vitamin K is sometimes called the “King of Clots” because it can prevent excessive bleeding and bruising.  Kale has a bunch of Vitamin K.

Vitamin D Sources

Vitamin D helps with many health aspects – strong teeth, bones, autoimmune diseases and high blood pressure to just name a few.  Shrimp is a great source of Vitamin D.
