Foods That Heal Headaches, Stomachaches, & Joint Pain by Dr Oz

Doctor Oz played a game called “Eat This, Beat That” on his television show to teach us foods that can heal our pain so that we can avoid drugs and painkillers and use natural home remedies to cure ourselves!  Match the ailments of headaches, joint pain and stomachaches to one of these six foods: strawberries, grapes, sardines, tofu, fennel or cheese.

Food That Heals Headaches:

ANSWER: Sardines!  Sardines lower your triglycerides, the fat that runs in your blood stream, and help you deal with stress because of their omega 3 fatty acids.  However, sardines have also been shown to help with headaches!

Food That Heals Joint Pain:

ANSWER: Strawberries!  Strawberries are high in Vitamin C, which helps your body to form collagen, which is crucial to keep your joints healthy.  If you have arthritis, take Vitamin C because it will often decrease your joint pain as well.

Food That Heals Stomachaches:

ANSWER: Fennel!  Fennel was eaten by Roman warriors for good health and Roman women to fight off obesity.  Fennel is an anti-inflammatory so works wonders if you have a stomach ache.  Take 1/2 tsp of Fennel Seeds or make a Fennel Tea to soothe your tummy.
