Dr Oz: Detox Solutions

Do you feel crappy and want to detoxify your body? Unfortunately, many detox remedies take time, money and plenty of effort, but today, Doctor Oz showed you the fastest and easiest ways to flush out those toxins. The best part is that they’re CHEAP! (In some cases, they’re even free!) Dr Oz is joined by Lifestyle Expert, Terri Trespicio, to show you how to cleanse your body with minimal effort.

Dr Oz Licorice Tea Detox

Dr Oz spoke about simple ways to detox, like by drinking Licorice Tea.

Dr Oz: Licorice Tea Detox

Lisa, an audience member, told Dr Oz that she was busy all day. She worked and had kids so she found herself practically running on empty during the day.

Terri says to help detox your body, you should eliminate sugars, or at the very least, cut out the added sugars. To cut out sweet cravings, try drinking licorice tea. Licorice tea grows in the Mediterranean and in Asia and is sweeter than sugar—and it has 0 calories! Licorice has also been known to support the liver.

Bitter Food Detox

Bitter greens, like dandelions, arugula and watercress, stimulate the liver and helps to detoxify the body. They also release digestive enzymes to help move food along in your body. (Lisa tried it and said it tasted like sauerkraut.)

Dr Oz: Dry Skin Rub Detox

Five minutes before getting into the shower take a dry brush and scrub away the top layer of skin to get rid of pores so your body is better able to remove waste. Then, jump into the shower (or bath) and wash as usual.

Dr Oz: Bladderwrack Bath

Taking a hot bath is a great way to de-stress, but add a bath booster with bladderwrack, which is a seaweed loaded with minerals. Place 1 handful of the loose herb into the water. Step in and relax. You can even add lavender to this bath, if you like.

Terri says if you use these remedies, you will feel changes in a day or two, but you need to do this every day to have a positive impact on your health.
