Stress Proof Tip #1: Nutrition

To De-Stress your life, you should eat fruits rich in vitamin C.  Dr Oz said that oranges are great stress busters because the vitamin C in them reduce the ability of steroids to pulse when you get stressed, so they are good for your immune system.  Sweet potatoes are high in beta carotene and yams – plus are high in vitamin C – so Dr Oz highly recommends sweet potatoes for stress relief too.

Stress Proof Tip #2:  Exercise

Doctor Oz is always preaching to get in your 10,000 steps a day, and the best way to make sure that you are taking 10,000 steps a day is to use a Pedometer to count the steps you take.  Exercise also relaxes you and helps to get rid of stress and anxiety.

Stress Proof Tip #3:  Aromatherapy

Dr Oz particularly recommended Lemon Essential Oil for Aromatherapy, which boosts the amount of serotonin your body produces and helps you to relax and de-stress.  Plus, if you take a bath with Lemon Essential Oil in it, everyone around you will also enjoy the lavender scent and get de-stressed.

Stress Proof Tip #4:  Multi-Vitamin

Dr Oz says to look for a multivitamin that contains b-complex, vitamin C, vitamin e, magnesium and zinc.  Monika Shah, a pharmacist at Walgreens, joined Doctor Oz and said that our bodies are like cars and we go through normal wear and tear, so you really should take a multivitamin to help repair your body.  B-Complex, which is all of the B Vitamins, is important because it relieves stress and anxiety.

Stress Proof Tip #5:  Know Your Numbers

Doctor Oz said that all of us should know our weight, cholesterol levels and blood pressure.  Learn your numbers and memorize them!  That way you can screen and track your weight, cholesterol levels and blood pressure – it could save your life!
