Dr. Oz says the most important number you should be concerned with when it comes to your cholesterol is your LDL, or “bad” cholesterol. It is not always easy to take control of your health, but losing just 10 pounds will drop your LDL cholesterol by 10%, which is a huge step in the right direction, according to Dr. Oz. Cedric the Entertainer knows first hand how hard it is to lose weight, especially when everyone else around you is still eating all the unhealthy foods that you know are bad for you. Dr. Oz explained how high cholesterol can lead to other health problems like heart disease strokes, with African Americans being at higher risk than others.

    Thank you for information on lowering cholesterol. I use lots of garlic on everything, lots of herbs on all meals, grapes, bananas and love seafood including salmon. I love your show and try to watch it day and late nights . It is so informative, I call my friends and relatives to please watch your show for great/health info.
