Dr Oz: Actress Leah Remini
Leah Remini spent nine seasons on King of Queens, but now she’s making headlines after publicly leaving Scientology. Leah’s parents divorced and her mother joined the Church of Scientology, choosing to raise her daughters in the “new-age faith.” At 13-years-old, Leah’s family moved to Los Angeles, where acting and Scientology became the centers of Leah’s life. Leah’s career took off, as did her ranks in the church. In 1998, she landed her role on King of Queens, landing among the ranks of church followers Kirstie Alley, John Travolta, and Tom Cruise.
