Even before finishing your meal, it feels as though you’re on fire. Minutes later, you’re burping and bloated and your mouth is sour. These are common symptoms of acid reflux. The food or liquid is leaking backward and into your esophagus and Dr Oz says if left untreated, you may be at a higher risk for cancer.

Tanya, an audience member, told Dr Oz that she’s had acid reflux for 12 years. She told Dr Oz when she ate, the food started going down her throat okay but then it stopped in her neck area and she couldn’t digest it properly. She got the acid, grumbling and then came the embarrassing belching.

Also, when pregnant, the hormones affect the junctions between the esophagus and the stomach.

  1. I’ve recently developed reflux & am taking Eno Tums to releive it. I have notified my doctor & he says i should monitor if for another week & watch my diet & if it still persists he will treat me for reflux.
im using the peppermint Eno Tums. If mint aggrevates reflux, why would on earth is it produced it in that flavour?
