First Lady Michelle Obama’s new book, as well as popular recipes for brownies and spring rolls, were among the most popular and talked about talk show hits, segments and stories featured for the week of June 18-22. PMS Brownies: Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Recipe
Who doesn’t love a fresh batch of brownies? Hoda Kotb from the Today Show said this recipe from the show made her favorite PMS Brownies. Connie Weis from Brownies & S’more joined the co-hosts to whip up a batch of the brownies, which have a special secret ingredient. Cat Cora: Thai Chicken Spring Rolls
Maybe you’ve seen Chef Cat Cora or her colleague, Curtis Stone, on some of TV’s most popular cooking shows. Right now, they can be seen on the Bravo cooking competition/travelogue series Around The World In 80 Plates. All the way from Thailand, Cat Cora brought a tasty treat to prepare on Live With Kelly. Michelle Obama: American Grown Book
It’s not every day that the First Lady of the United States pops by your talk show. But that’s exactly what happened when Bryant Gumbel co-hosted with Kelly Ripa this week. They got to spend time talking with Michelle Obama about maintaining normalcy in her family life while living at the most famous address in America, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Plus, they talked about her new book, American Grown, which shares her passion for gardening and fresh food with a new generation.
Is My Appetite Normal? Holiday Calorie Quiz
With summer now in full swing and backyard barbecues firing up, you may be ready to chow down on some grilled favorites. After all, Independence Day is coming very soon. But The Doctors added up the calorie consequences of all those festive occasions and holiday parties we attend year round. Did you know that pigging out at special events could pack 10 extra pounds onto your body every year? Take the quiz and see if you know which holidays add the most calories. Dr Travis Stork also shared some easy advice for keeping your appetite under control.
Are Bears Attracted To Menstrual Blood?
We have all heard lots of urban legends or anecdotal medical advice, but this week, The Doctors spent some time separating fact from fiction. They tackled viewer questions that have come up time and again, in pop culture or even after school. They debunked the myth that bears are attracted to Menstrual Blood (only polar bears are, so just don’t go camping in the arctic during your period). Plus, Dr Lisa Masterson explained that your uterus can actually fall out. It’s a situation called Uterine Prolapse, but it’s probably not what you think.
