Doctor Oz played got a question about Colon Cancer and Colonoscopies during his Wheel of Wellness special of Ask Dr. Oz. The woman asked at what age we should have our first colonoscopy and how often should we have a colonoscopy after that point if there is no family history of colon cancer?
Dr Oz said that if there is no history of colon cancer, you should have your first Colonoscopy at age 50 and then again every 10 years. The great thing about a colonscopy is that you can diagnose Colon Cancer, and if it is at the onset, you can cure Colon Cancer at the same time with the colonoscopy!
