Apparently its Vick vapor rub and something else rubbed on the outside of the ear. But vicks vapor rub for sure. All I saw was it is really caused by inflammation of this nerve system stemming from the inner near.

Vicks vapor rub by dr.oz was found false…. but there are ofcourse unconventional remedies suggesting vicks vapor rub helps.
