Coconut oil can remove earwax. Normally, you might get earwax out with a cotton swab, but Dr. Oz said that’s bad. If you stick a Q tip in your ear, it can damage the ear drum and the canal.
Instead, warm up your coconut oil a little in the microwave. Make sure it’s not too hot. Then, lay a towel on your shoulder, and turn your head to the side. Using a dropper, drip the coconut oil into the ear canal. The coconut oil will dissolve the earwax. Then, use a dropper full of water to rinse it out. Lean your ear back toward the towel and the gunk should come out.
Dr. Oz: Coconut Oil Removes Makeup
The next use for coconut oil is to remove makeup. Just dip a cotton ball in the coconut oil and use it in circular motion around your cheeks and under and over your eyelids.
Dr. Oz: Coconut Oil Conditioner
You can also use the coconut oil for a conditioner. Mix up the coconut oil with some warm water in a spray bottle and just spray it all over your hair. You can do this with wet or dry hair. Let it stay on your hair for about an hour. If the coconut oil on your hair during the wait time bugs you, put your hair in a shower cap. Then, just wash it out in the shower.
Dr. Oz: Coconut Oil as Shaving Cream
Another tip is to use coconut oil as a moisturizing shaving cream. If your skin is dry, then this works great. Just rub the coconut oil on your skin and then shave it right off.
If you want to make it frothy, use an immersion blender or a whisk to make it more cream-like. The second you put it on your skin, it should make your skin more moisturized and help the hairs stand up.
