Dr. Oz talked to style expert Denise Caldwell, who said people just want to look good and feel good. She said jeans can be tricky because of all the different styles. The best thing to do is to find out the best ones for your body.
Dr. Oz: High Rise Jeans for Big Bellies
One woman from the audience named Katherine has some belly fat, which makes wearing jeans complicated, because it’s tight in the belly and causes a muffin top. Denise Caldwell said if you’re over 25, you have to get rid of your low rise jeans. High waisted jeans are the key for people with a big belly.
A nice high rise trouser denim can be very flattering for some plus sized women. It can make you look ten pounds slimmer.
Dr. Oz: Stretch Jeans for Weight in Your Hips and Thighs
Another woman named Claudine carried her weight in her hips and thighs. Denise suggested she embrace jeans that stretch. This will make your booty look great and it will let your calves breathe. When you sit down, you won’t have a gape at the top of your jeans, like you would if your jeans were more stiff. This doesn’t mean you have to wear skinny jeans. Instead, look for jeans with polyester, spandex, and lycra in the material.
Dr. Oz: Dark Colored Jeans to Hide Weight
The next woman was named Stormy and she carries her weight all over. Denise said she should pick the darkest color jeans possible. Denise said that dark jeans help slim your down and make you look better.
